On the move

in Milestones

I can already fondly remember a time that I could place Julia down on the floor for a few minutes to accomplish some mundane task like doing the dishes or running to the restroom all the while knowing with a high degree of certainty that she would be in the exact same location upon my return.

I should have known that this impish smile held some knowledge of new activities nearing behind it, 9/23/2010

My how things change in a flash.

After having been inposition for the crawl for almost a month now, Julia suddenly yesterday decided that stationary wasn’t in her vocabulary any more as she put one arm in front of the other and followed with one knee in front of the next. In a rhythmic motion similar to a listing vessel, away she went. I guess the mysteries of the air conditioning vent were too much for her to continue to ignore and away she went.

Watch out world, Julia has gone mobile, 9/24/2010

I love watching my children take on new challenges and reach milestones as they grow and develop. But part of me knows that my job around the house just got a little more — oh crap, there she goes towards the garbage can.

Pappa and Amma could not be more thrilled for you, Julia! Good job! (I think her tongue is a major piece of the action!)
